Update: Royalty Rates for Prime Subscription Access (Included with Prime)
Effective March 1, 2018, royalty rates for titles made available through Prime Subscription Access (Included with Prime) have changed. Please see Royalty Information or your Digital Video License Agreement for more information. Estimated earnings data is temporarily unavailable in the Dashboard. We apologize for any inconvenience.
All titles require key art as a prerequisite for
migrated titles, items will be migrated in their current state, but if
an update is made to a migrated title, you will be prompted to update
images prior to republishing.
Existing CreateSpace accounts and catalog information will be transitioned to Prime Video Direct. You will receive notification from CreateSpace with transition instructions. When the transition completes, we encourage you to review your company, banking, and tax information to ensure all information
is up-to-date. Please refrain from creating a new account in Prime Video Direct to avoid managing multiple accounts after the transition period. If you create a new account, there is no way to merge it with your transitioned account.
All existing CreateSpace titles transition at the existing price. However, all new submissions will adopt our new pricing format
with prices ending in 99 cents (U.S.). If you publish changes that impact the availability for a migrated title, then an update to the new pricing format will be required. For example, if your CreateSpace title is $7.25, republishing after the transition to Prime Video Direct requires that the price change to $7.99. The new price format provides pricing uniformity that improves the browsing and title selection experience for customers.
Prime Video Direct includes a new 16:9 image artwork size and optional background image.
English captions (timed text) are required for all titles published in the United States (Spanish can be substituted for Spanish-language titles). For more information, see Caption (timed text) Information.
We will enforce key art sizes for previously submitted titles. To ensure that your catalog is ready, please see Technical Specifications for art for more information.
As a customer obsessed company, Amazon strives for a consistent experience for all customers. Prime Video Direct requires English captions on all videos published in the United States (Spanish can be substituted for Spanish-language titles). Captions are also required for all Amazon Prime titles worldwide, except Japan. To help you with this requirement, we provide a list of some recommended captioning providers in Prime Video Direct help.
All Prime Video Direct payments are made through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or wire transfer. After your account transitions to Prime Video Direct, you must set up your banking and payment information for electronic payment. For supported locations, please see Electronic payments.
The migration doesn’t change the way that you publish your titles through CreateSpace for Disc on Demand. However, you can’t make titles available for Prime Video streaming through CreateSpace. Those titles must be submitted separately through Prime Video Direct.
